Omobayonle “Bayo” Idowu enrolled in the Ujamaa Place Theory of Transformation on December 30, 2016. Addicted, homeless and hopeless, Bayo met with Ujamaa Place CEO, Otis Zanders, on a Saturday at the desperate behest of his family. With the support of Ujamaa Place, Bayo has turned his life around, overcoming addiction, enrolled in college, and is currently working full-time as Ujamaa Place’s receptionist. Bayo is also a very talented musician, who aspires to one day do music full-time. Bayo often shares his musical gifts at Ujamaa events, so be on the lookout for him.
