My name is Damon Mason and I was born in Gary, Indiana. I graduated from high school in 1993 and moved to the twin cities. During my earlier years, I work various jobs while searching for something meaningful that I could be a part of. I was introduced to the mortgage industry in 2004 and became a loan officer. This allowed me to not only become a homeowner, but to empower, educate and support others on that same journey. In 2018, I sold my home, parted with all of my accumulated things and traveled the world for 9 months. My travels took me to Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Those experiences enriched my life in ways that I could only dream of. I came back refreshed and ready to take on the world again. I had new drive and new passion which ultimately led me to Rondo Community Land Trust. This position has truly been the blessing that I did not expect or could see. I continue to educate and contribute to the underserved BIPOC community with more passion that ever before.
